Home of the Month | September 2012

Congratulations to the September 2012 Home of the Month! Your hard work and dedication has made your home a beautiful place to live. (Photos by Erica Allums)

Our September Home of the Month belongs to Marvin and Leslie Gay. They reside at 801 26th Ave N in a fabulous 1924 bungalow. The Gay’s moved into Crescent Heights about two years ago relocating from New Orleans. They loved the neighborhood with easy access to Tampa and St. Petersburg’s cultural downtown. Move in ready is what they liked best about this house with the pristine pine floors and cheerful wall colors, looks right out of Coastal Living magazine. The front porch is my favorite, it’s so inviting, with cool weather approaching it makes you want to curl up and read a good book. Marvin and Leslie’s favorite would be the cozy dining room which boasts the traditional built in buffets, perfect for family dinners and entertaining. Everyone has noticed the picturesque landscaping which adds so much to the corner of 26th. The surprise is the charming courtyard out back with the paver walkways and patio. Of course it’s also beautifully landscaped as well. I love the bamboo. The garage apartment is huge and perfect for the grandchildren when they come to visit. Marvin and Leslie own Painting With a Twist at 2527 Central Ave in Grand Central and 2821 South MacDill in Palma Ceia.If you haven’t been out, go, it’s so much fun. Thank you also to our great neighbors Joe and Becca for nominating the Gay’s for Home of the Month.
