CHNA Ocean-Friendly Garden Project

We’re excited to kick off the next phase of the CHNA Ocean Friendly Garden Project!  Our next meeting will be July 23rd, 7pm at 432 23rd Ave N.

Here’s an update on our recent activity:

  • Submitted and awarded our $12,500 matching grant through the city of St Pete
  • Held our 3 hr plant workshop at Wilcox Nursey

Now it’s time for you to decide which committee to join! We have three committees that each need 5-10 volunteers for support.

Outreach Committee 
Purpose: Connect with each corner lot homeowner to agree on plant design
Estimated time needed: 2-4 hrs 

Planting Committee 
Purpose: Remove grass, plant Florida natives, mulch
Estimated time needed: 3-4 hrs on two separate weekends (TBD)

Maintenance Committee
Purpose: Weekly check-in / Upkeep to ensure safe growth and extra love
Estimated time needed: 1 hr weekly
